Is this tile rated for floors, walls, or wet areas?

Check the use rating in the Specifications above, since many porcelain tiles work on both floors and walls while lighter wall tile is meant for vertical use only. For showers and floors, look at the slip rating too.

Can it be used outdoors?

Frost-rated porcelain can move from indoors to patios and pool decks, while ceramic and decorative wall tile are usually indoor only. Confirm the freeze-thaw rating for your climate before ordering.

What about slip resistance?

For wet floors and showers, choose a textured or matte finish with a higher DCOF or R rating. Polished tile looks beautiful on walls and dry floors but can be slick when wet.

Do I need trim, and how much overage?

Order coordinating bullnose or trim for finished edges, plus grout in your color. Add about 10 percent for cuts, and more for mosaics or patterned layouts that waste a little material.

Common Questions

ORDERING & SUPPORT

The questions our counter answers most, before the first box ships.

Talk to Our Team

Is this suitable for my application?+

Each product lists its wear layer, finish, and use ratings in the Specifications above, so you can match it to residential, commercial, or wet-area use. If you are not sure it fits your project, our specialists will review the details and confirm the right product before you order.

What is the lead time?+

Most in-stock orders are processed within 2-5 business days, then ship by ground or LTL freight depending on size and weight. Transit time varies by destination, and any made-to-order item shows its expected production window at checkout.

Do you work with the trade?+

Yes. Builders, designers, and developers can ask us about a trade or developer account, with dedicated support for large-volume orders.

How do I make sure the color matches?+

Screens and lighting vary, so our specialists will confirm the exact color, finish, and texture details with you before you commit. For larger orders we pull from the same dye lot where possible, and a small overage helps keep everything consistent.

What if my freight arrives damaged?+

Inspect your shipment on arrival. If anything is damaged, photograph it before unloading, note it with the LTL driver on the delivery receipt, and report it to us the same day, so we can file the carrier claim and ship free replacements.

Can I pick this up instead of paying freight?+

Yes. At checkout choose Warehouse pickup, $89 per order, and collect from a Citadel pickup partner within 100 miles of your ZIP. MSI products are collected at MSI partners and Mohawk products at Mohawk partners, so a pickup order holds one brand. We confirm the transfer, then email your pickup date, the street address and a release number. Pickup locations

How does warehouse pickup work?+

Order online and choose a partner in your cart. We confirm the transfer with the warehouse and email the pickup date, the address and a release number. Bring the release number and a photo ID within seven days, bring a vehicle suited to the load, and inspect the material at the dock before it is loaded. Every partner is listed on our pickup locations page. Pickup locations
