Measure each face
Width by height for every wall the stone covers. Subtract big openings yourself; leave small ones in as cutting slack.
Corners first
Corners are L-shaped pieces ordered at two per vertical foot. Their coverage is real area, so it comes off the wall before flats are counted.
Flats, then waste
What remains divides by the flat panel's coverage, and ten percent lands on both counts, rounded up. Panels are cut, and cut stone does not go back together.
