For decorative coverage, 1 to 2 inches is typical, and for full ground cover that hides soil, plan on 2 to 3 inches. Adjust the depth in the calculator to match the look you want.
How many bags will I need?+
Enter your area and depth and the calculator returns the number of bags, based on standard 0.5 cubic foot bags. Round up to be sure of full coverage.
Should I add extra?+
Yes, add 5 to 10 percent extra to allow for uneven ground and settling. A small overage keeps coverage even without a second order.
Can I calculate by length and width?+
