How much carpet do I need?+
Enter every room and the planner lays each one on the roll the way that pulls the least length, seams anything wider than the roll, and cuts later rooms from the offcut before pulling more. It returns the linear feet off the roll and the square yardage, with a 5 percent allowance included.
Why does the roll width matter?+
Broadloom is cut from a fixed-width roll, so a room wider than the roll needs a seam and a second pass. A 14 ft room does not fit a 12 ft roll, which is why the planner works room by room against the roll width instead of dividing your total square footage.
Where will the seams fall?+
A seam falls where a room is wider than the roll, and the diagram marks it. Pile direction is matched across a seam so the two pieces read as one floor rather than two.
Can I order carpet online?+
Carpet is cut to your plan rather than picked off a shelf, so it is quoted rather than added to a cart. Bring the plan to our team and we will price the cut.
