Garrison II Smooth Chateau is a five-inch Hickory engineered floor that brings genuine character to a room without roughness. Chateau's medium tone sits at a warm middle register, neither pale nor heavy, and its smooth, micro-beveled planks read clean and refined across open living areas, transitional dining rooms, and well-traveled hallways. The Select Character grade means natural grain variation is present and intentional, giving each run of boards a convincing, honest wood feel.
Hickory's Janka rating of 1820 makes this one of the harder domestic species available, and the engineered build keeps planks flat through seasonal shifts and over varied subfloors where solid wood would cup or move. A urethane finish cured with aluminum oxide resists daily foot traffic, pets, and spills without dulling. Backed by a limited lifetime structural warranty for residential use, Chateau is built to hold its finish and its shape for the long run.
