Wall Tile & Backsplash

Curated wall-tile and backsplash collections, from glossy ceramic subway and decorative mosaics to handcrafted artisan tile and natural pebble mosaics.

More Than a Surface

Why Wall Tile
Changes Everything

Wall tile is the most expressive surface in any room. It defines the mood before a single piece of furniture is placed, setting tone, reflecting light, and anchoring every other material decision in the space. From a single backsplash to a full wet-room installation, the right tile transforms a functional surface into a design statement that lasts decades.

Light & Depth
Glossy glass and polished marble reflect and amplify natural light. Matte and textured surfaces absorb it, creating warmth and intimacy. The right tile transforms how a room feels at every hour of the day.
Built to Last
Unlike painted walls or wallcoverings, quality tile is permanent. Resistant to moisture, heat, staining, and daily wear, it holds its beauty for the life of the home with minimal maintenance required.
Curated Series
Designer-grade series, from decorative mosaics to handcrafted glaze and natural pebble surfaces. Each collection is curated by material language and design intent, so the selection guides the design rather than the other way around.
Ships Nationwide
Every collection in our wall-tile range ships to all 50 states. Sacramento showroom for in-person selection, or work with our team virtually, same expertise, same access, anywhere in the country.
Design Tip
Choose your backsplash after your countertop, not before. The stone sets the palette; the tile completes it.

The right backsplash balances durability, cleanability, and aesthetics. Ceramic and porcelain are the most practical, easy to clean, moisture resistant, and available in countless styles. Glass tile adds luminosity and depth. For a true statement, marble tile or a stone-glass blend elevates the space significantly. The right choice depends on your kitchen’s style and how much maintenance you’re comfortable with.

Both are kiln-fired clay, but porcelain is fired at higher temperatures, making it denser, harder, and less porous than ceramic. Porcelain is better suited for high-moisture areas and heavy-use applications. Ceramic is slightly more affordable, easier to cut, and perfectly adequate for most wall and backsplash installations where it won’t face heavy impact or water immersion.

Acoustic wood-slat panels are best suited for dry interior applications, living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and home offices, where they add visual warmth and sound absorption. In bathrooms, keep them away from direct water exposure. A feature wall behind a vanity in a well-ventilated bathroom can work; direct shower or tub walls are not recommended.

Blend tiles combine the best properties of multiple materials in a single mosaic. Glass adds shimmer and light reflection. Stone brings organic warmth and texture. Metal introduces a sleek, contemporary edge. If you want a backsplash that functions as a focal point with real visual complexity, a blend achieves that far more effectively than a single-material option. Our team can help you match the right blend to your space and lighting.

Most glazed ceramic, porcelain, and glass tiles do not require sealing, their surface is already impermeable. Natural-stone tiles like marble benefit from sealing to protect against staining and moisture penetration. Grout lines, regardless of tile type, should be sealed periodically to prevent discoloration and moisture ingress, especially in kitchens and baths.

Yes, using the same tile across your backsplash and shower surround creates a cohesive, designer-level look that ties the space together. Just make sure the tile you choose is rated for wet applications if it will be used inside the shower. Porcelain, ceramic, and glass tiles are all excellent choices for both applications.

Grout color is one of the most under-considered choices in a tile install. Matching the grout to the tile creates a quiet, unified surface that lets the tile pattern breathe. Contrasting grout (e.g. charcoal grout with white subway tile) makes the geometry of the install the design feature. As a rule, lighter grout brightens a space; darker grout grounds it and hides everyday wear.
